We need somebody who loves horses and is experienced in their care and handling to train as an assistant coach. Training is free and is provided on site and involves the additional safety and techniques required to help our special riders. This training will be done over several months at your own pace.

No previous coaching qualification is required.

We ride  in the undercover arena at Myuna Farm in Doveton.

RDAV is a not-for-profit organisation that enables individuals with a range of disabilities, ages and backgrounds to develop independence, a sense of freedom and to reach their equestrian goals through adapted riding techniques and equipment.

RDAV is a grass roots, volunteer based organisation which has 37centres, over a thousand riders and over 700 volunteers. RDAV Doveton is one branch of this body.

The main aim of a local branch is to work in partnership with the local special schools to provide their students with the physical and psychological benefits that come from gentle horse riding. We operate in a controlled environment ideal for children that are otherwise restricted to a wheelchair or who have limited mobility. Our activities involve letting our riders sit on a horse which is slowly led round an indoor arena with appropriate help and support from our specially trained volunteer coaches
