We are seeking volunteers who will support educators with children's (3 -4 year olds) participation in the Kindergarten program, and where appropriate give children with additional needs, extra support to participate fully.
We require people who enjoy interacting with children in an educational setting, are enthusiastic and interested in a young child's ability and potential to learn and develop, and be happy to work as part of a team alongside other educators.

We are looking for a motivated volunteer with experince in organising events such as walkathons, fundraising events and festivals. The volunteer will be involved in supporting the organisation of our first Pacific Islands Festival, which will showcase and promote the cultures and traditions of the Pacific Islands in the City of Casey.
The volunteer will have:
Prior experience in organising events such as walkathons, fundraising events and festivals.

An interest in charitable causes, and in supporting humanitarian projects in the Pacific Islands and/or outside of Australia.

The children are in the same room as their mothers and they are ultimately responsible for their care, this is a support role. Would suit someone seeking childcare experience. Weekly commitment during school terms. Two positions available - Tuesday or Thursday afternoon.
Healthy Little Rainbows is a food buying co-operative organised by volunteers to benefit its members. HLR provides fruit and vegetables at a lower price than available to individual shoppers. Members pay $10 to receive a bag of produce sourced from Dandenong Market. Members are invited to participate actively and have a say in what is purchased. The Bridge is a disability support agency operating in Greater Dandenong and Casey. Our Next Step program teaches keen job seekers pre-employment skills. We welcome volunteer Coaching Assistants to help our trainers and participants as classroom assistants, encouraging, coaching and supporting the content being covered. We also welcome volunteer work experience Mentor volunteers, who suport and coach adults with disabilities in their work expereince opportunities. These roles can be based in Dandenong or Springvale. The Bridge supports adults with disabilities to achieve goals they have set for themselves. Our programs are as diverse as ten pin bowling, Men's Shed, Swimming, Job-Seeker coaching, Art/Craft, Public Transport familiarisation, and many more. We welcome volunteers to join staff and participants in community based activities as activity assistants. We need a reliable minimum commitment of 4 hours a week. Riding for the Disabled Victoria - Doveton Branch - Doveton, VIC
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
We need somebody who loves horses and is experienced in their care and handling to train as an assistant coach. Training is free and is provided on site and involves the additional safety and techniques required to help our special riders. This training will be done over several months at your own pace.
No previous coaching qualification is required.
We ride in the undercover arena at Myuna Farm in Doveton.
RDAV is a not-for-profit organisation that enables individuals with a range of disabilities, ages and backgrounds to develop independence, a sense of freedom and to reach their equestrian goals through adapted riding techniques and equipment.
RDAV is a grass roots, volunteer based organisation which has 37centres, over a thousand riders and over 700 volunteers. RDAV Doveton is one branch of this body.
The main aim of a local branch is to work in partnership with the local special schools to provide their students with the physical and psychological benefits that come from gentle horse riding. We operate in a controlled environment ideal for children that are otherwise restricted to a wheelchair or who have limited mobility. Our activities involve letting our riders sit on a horse which is slowly led round an indoor arena with appropriate help and support from our specially trained volunteer coaches
Neighbourhood Watch Casey - Various Casey locations, VIC
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
Neighbourhood Watch Casey is the volunteer community based safety group for the City of Casey.
It is the local area representative of NHW Victoria and works with the Community Safety Department City of Casey and the Victoria Police in promoting neighbourhood safety and community awareness of issues which may affect the welfare of visitors and citizens of the City of Casey.
The group are seeking volunteers to expand their activities and participate in community events.
The City of Casey is seeking volunteer drivers to transport clients to medical appointments and to visit family at nursing homes and hospitals.
Volunteers will need their own vehicle, which is fully insured and road worthy. A typical trip may include collecting a client from their home, driving them to a medical appointment and returning them home. Meals are provided for longer duration trips, for example if the client needs to attend an appointment in the city at one of the hospitals which overruns - lunch is provided.
