L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program

The City of  Casey  needs volunteers to assist young people who are without support gain the required 120 hours of driving experience.

Join a dedicated team of volunteer mentors who have so far assisted 121 learners achieve their licence through this amazing program.

Volunteer mentors should:

  • Have the ability to work with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Be willing to commit for a minimum of six months
  • Undertake a coaching role, rather than an instructing role
  • Have a full Victorian driver’s licence
  • Have a safe driving history with no serious offences

Driving sessions are conducted in fully maintained and serviced vehicles generously donated by the Berwick Motor Group.  All training and insurances are covered by the program.

The L2P program is funded by TAC, managed by VicRoads and coordinated by City of Casey.

This is a great way to support young people and a fantastic road safety initiative that will help to ensure Casey’s roads are a safer place for all.
