We require volunteer drivers in our social support program at Cranbourne. The role of the driver is to pick up people from their homes in the morning and take them home in the afternoon. Our clients either live locally or in surrounding suburbs. We have 3 relatively new very small buses which are easy to drive and are automatic. Only a normal driver's licence is needed.

The social support program is a socialisation program for different client groups and run each day of the week. Activities consist of theme days, exercise, singing, craft entertainment , games and outings. Lunch and morning tea  is provided for the clients and volunteers each day.

Drivers will attend from about 8.45 on their allocated working day to pick up clients usually arriving back around 10.15 . In the afternoon they will take clients home from about 2.30,  usually arriving  back sometime after 4.00.

It is not a requirement that the drivers attend outside these driving hours but they are most welcome to spend the day with the group. It is also appreciated that driver's stay and drive on outing days but this is not a requirement. Days of work are flexible . We are looking for volunteers wishing to commit on a certain day but would also be interested in Volunteers who would be interested to fill in days when others are away as a casual driver.

Our socialisation groups are dependent on a  team effort and staff  and clients are both  grateful for the volunteers committment and input to the program.
